Jeannette Mayo Gallegos is a junior transfer student studying computer science at the University of California, Berkeley. Jeannette started her college education at San Diego City College, where she participated in the MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science, & Achievement) program. In recognition of her talent, Jeannette was selected as the Terry O'banion Student Technology Champion in 2021-22, and went on to become the recipient of a variety of scholarships by SHPE, SWE, AWIS, Microsoft, and the Generation Google Scholarship. She shortly after, became a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke scholarship, where she would receive a full ride to complete her Bachelor’s degree.
