Keioko Haynes is a senior at the University of Illinois Chicago majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in physics. She is an avid space enthusiast with a strong interest in aeronautics and astronomy, primarily in spacecraft design, propulsion systems, and black holes. Keioko has worked on a range of projects, including space-based irrigation systems and high-power rocketry. Within her university’s AIAA chapter, she serves as both Treasurer and Launch Vehicle Lead. Outside of academics, she enjoys archery, tinkering with electronics, and exploring innovative ways to communicate STEM topics to interested youth.
