Thushan Fernando is an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering student at North Carolina State University, where he is an active member of the Goodnight Scholars and Students for the Exploration and Development of Space. As a SEDS member, he played the role of Project Manager for a Mars Ascent Vehicle Design for entry into the NASA RASC-AL Engineering competition. With a passion for Space Exploration and the Search for Life in particular, he has his sights set on several icy moons in our solar system. Thushan currently holds an Associate degree in Engineering from Guilford Technical Community College.
