Wilbert Andrés Ruperto Hernández is an undergraduate student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (UPRM). He is an aspiring aerospace engineer and planetary scientist who hopes to become an astronaut in the near future. Wilbert is also the Vice-President and one of the Project Leaders of the local chapter of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS-UPRM). In this position, he has led multidisciplinary teams in the development of advanced space exploration systems concepts such as a lunar lander, a lunar rover, and a human mission to Ceres.
