Ariel Barreiro is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh class of 2023. She obtained her BS in Natural Sciences, focusing on physics and astronomy. During her senior year, she became involved with the university's science magazine, The Pitt Pulse, and had her article chosen as the cover feature for the first cycle of the 2022-2023 school year. She is also the communications and grant specialist for the Chance to Change Lives (CCL-US) non-profit, conducting research on the intersection of race and gender in the physics community and creating opportunities and workshops with the company to help bridge these gaps.
