Dr. Jessica R. Jones is a staff aerodynamicist with Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing Company. Aurora innovates, builds, and delivers advanced systems to solve customer challenges, specializing in autonomous and unmanned aerospace vehicles. She is currently the Aerodynamics and Performance lead for the Orion Medium Altitude Long Endurance UAS, leading the team responsible for aerodynamic analysis, performance estimates and tracking, and flight loads. Prior to joining Aurora, Dr. Jones earned her masters and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, specializing in aeroelasticity of very flexible aircraft and B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland. In her free time, Dr. Jones loves to travel, discover new foods, and write about her journeys.
