Dr. Siamak Hesar is Co-founder and CEO of Kayhan Space. He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a focus on precise orbit determination. He has supported several NASA missions in the past, most notably as a radio science working group (RSWG) team member for the OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission, where he helped implement an operational orbit determination framework for the RSWG. Prior to Kayhan Space, Siamak worked as Chief Scientist at SpaceNav LLC., where he led several software development efforts for various commercial and governmental organizations focusing on operational orbit determination, uncertainty quantification, and collision risk assessment and mitigation. He is also supporting the development of autonomous on-board navigation software for SmallSats and CubeSats at Blue Canyon Technologies.
