Joseph Gruber is a Sr. Technical Program Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), building and operating AWS Ground Station, a global network of ground stations used for satellite commanding, control, and downlink.

Joseph's professional experience includes spacecraft development, satellite operations, systems engineering, and technical leadership. Prior to AWS, Joseph worked at Blue Origin on the flight software and test operations for the New Shepard suborbital vehicle. Before Blue Origin, Joseph supported multiple NASA and NOAA earth-observation missions, including GOES-R, GOES-S, Earth Science Mission Operations (including Aqua, Aura, and Terra), and the Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment (SGSS) program.

Joseph holds a Bachelors's degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a Master's degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Outside of work, Joseph is a volunteer with Guiding Eyes for the Blind and a Captain in the United States Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol. In his free time, he can often be found on the trails and in the mountains around Colorado. You can connect with Joseph on Twitter @josephgruber.
